Grandaddy Purps Crumble

Effect:
Very heavy, Incredibly strong euphoric indica sensation.  Made from the trim and small buds our our wonderful indoor grandaddy purps.
Crumble form : This particular wax is what is comonly refered to as crumble.  Very small dry peices.  much of it with a size and consistency between brown sugar and salt.  Can be difficult to dab with.  Works great on top of a bowl.  Some of this on top of a bowl of the same Grandaddy purps flowers is an indredible treat.
Wax Notes

Wax generally refers to a sticky, highly potent medical marijuana concentrate.  Wax can go by many different names such as Honey, Honey Oil, BHO, Glass, Amber Glass, Shard, Budda and many more.  These names can mean slightly different things to different people which can make this all a bit confusing.

Basically when you are talking about wax you are talking about BHO (Butane Hash Oil).  The overwhelming majority of wax uses Butane as a solvent.  Some use other gases or even CO2, but butane works the best and is easily purged and purified if done properly.  Butane is passed over blended and frozen MMJ and then filtered.  The butane absorbs all the cannabinoids (THC,CBD,CBC, etc) as it passes over the ground up buds.   The MMJ enriched butane is then collected and the butane is "boiled" off with a low heat.  The leaves behind all the products cannabinoids, turpines, and some plant wax.  This product is then purged by creating negative pressure with a vacuum pump that will actually bubble out any remaining gasses.  We have had our wax makers product tested to make sure his purging technique works and his stuff tested clean :).

Wax is extemely potent and I believe for most patients works best as an occasional remedy as opposed to a daily routine as you can build up quite a tolerance to it.  When used sparingly it will continue to provide very strong relief for when your symptons become extreme.

Our waxes are generally going to be made strain specific.  Each strain has its own characteristics.  We are all used to differences in highs...Indica v Sativa.  There are also taste and aroma variances.  With wax you have the sticky factor.  Some of the strains come out more like taffy, some incredibly sticky.  Dont use your hands to handle most waxes.  You may get the sticky goo all over your hands and never get it off to properly smoke it.    Use a tool like a paper clip or a dental pick to place a dab of the wax from the container to your smoking device.

How to smoke it?  Well you have options.  Any way you can smoke hash you can smoke wax.  Placing a dab on a bud works, but you need to be careful.  When wax gets hot it liquifies a second before it vaporizes.  So it can run down the bud and into your pipe before it all goes up it smoke!  Thats no good lol.  If you are going to smoke from a traditional pipe or water pipe my suggestion is leave a bowl of ash from your last bowl of bud.  Take a small bud and use your wax tool to take a small dab and use the bud to kind of "wipe" the tool clean.  Like if you were checking your cars oil the dabbing tool is the dipstick and the bud is the paper towel.  Just be carefull not to get the wax on your fingers!  There are several options designed for wax smoking that work better including nails (my prefered method), swings, and vaporizers.  Please vistit your local smoke shop or youtube for more info on these devices.

How we package it.  We are trying differnt methods but we are liking our current practice.  We place the wax on some parchment paper, wrap it up and place that in a small plastic container.  we use parchment paper because if you freeze the wax on that paper it will not stick to it at all.  So if you want you can freeze it easily slide it off the paper into any smoking or storage device you wanted.  By freezing on parchment you can always get the very last bit off the paper.

Avoid letting you wax getting to hot!  Storing you wax in a hot room or car for example can have some unwanted consequences.  The warmer the wax the lower the viscosity of the wax and it becomes runny.  Some waxes at 100 degrees with turn to liquid, which depending how its stored could cause a problem with it running over things.

Why we test some, not others. Many of our wax runs are very small.  Since we deal with many small growers we get small batches of flowers or trim to make our concentrates.  Some batches may yield as few as 3 or 4 grams.  It take 1 gram to do the test.  Since All of our waxes test around the same (75-85%) we only submit tests for batches that we have a decent amount of.
