Review by Mike

Lemon Tree is sometimes considered a sativa, sometimes a hybrid.   Like nearly every strain out there, it’s technically a hybrid.  Though feedback from a few that have sampled this strain suggests that it’s effects are more on the sativa side.  This is my first time sampling this particular offering, so let’s see what we have here. For being an outdoor grown strain the bud structure is quite nice.  I will try to get a few pictures of this one up on our site.  The strains parents are Lemon Skunk and Sour Diesel.  Though it looks nothing like diesel, I can smell hints of both strains. Lemony, Piney, Earthy and a touch of the Diesel smell all blend to form a curious aroma.  Curious as to what this smoke will do to me!  Oh dang, I took a little bud and ground it up and I have seriously released its full array of scents.   Its tough to identify with some of these hybrids as I am getting so many different terpenes (This PC didn’t know the word terpene lol, well it better get used to it!) coming through.   Bud ground, bowl loaded….let’s see what we have here.

I take one long hit, hold for a few seconds and exhale.  Taste is ok.  As a bit of an accused weed snob I do find taste is the biggest difference between decent outdoor and great indoor.    No awards to be handed out here for taste, but it’s not bad.  Smoke is smooth and that is more important in my humble opinion.   Hit number 2 and I have a mild earthy aftertaste that isn’t bad, and I have a gentle high creeping up on me.  Interesting.  I definitely feel more high than stoned.  I am now easily distracted.  I’ve got stuff to do.   I feel like doing some stuff.  I’ll go do some stuff and report back my findings.   Hit #3 and I’m off! Lemon Tree was a fairly solid experience overall.  I was able to get several chores done with a smile on my face J  Installed my new Roku, did some laundry, cleaned up, showered and then went grocery shopping!   By the end the buzz was all but gone, but I don’t feel too tired even though it’s close to 9pm now.   At the end of the day this is an uplifting sativa dominant experience.  Good effects with a smooth hit.  Though not my favorite on the menu, it’s an excellent outdoor option.

Medicinal Uses:

THC dominant Sativa strains such as Lemon Tree tend to act as more of a stimulant with a cerebral or "heady" high.   Many patients have had great success treating symptons in the areas of appetite stimulation, relieving depression, migraines, chronic pain and nausea.

Some people, particualry those who have been diagnosed ADD or ADHD can have the Indica/Sativa scale flip on them.  For many of these patients Indicas will provide the effect typical of Sativas.  And this strain will actually induce Indica like effects.  For those patients this strain would act in a more sedative or relaxant.   For those patients this would be a good strain for treating the symptoms of medical conditions such as anxiety, chronic pain, insomnia, muscle spasms and tremors.
